Irish-Austrian Society

The Society was set up to promote closer ties of friendship and understanding between the peoples of Ireland and Austria.

These aims are achieved by the organisation of lectures on cultural and historical subjects by Austrian and Irish historians and economists, musical evenings, film shows, convivial social gatherings, guided tours of Central Europe and special events such as visits to Ireland by the Vienna Boys Choir and other groups of top musicians. There is also a monthly get-together known as Stammtisch at which members can meet on an informal basis.

Amongst its many other activities there is a priority booking service for the Vienna State Opera and other Viennese theatres.
